Our outreach

Help for families who have no one else to turn to

We are on a mission to bring light, love and hope to people in need in Nazareth, one family, one meal, one child at a time.

Five ways we serve

What your support provides

Our volunteers identify families in the community who are struggling, and deliver help directly and discreetly.

  • Grocery parcels laid out on the floor ready to be packed for families in Nazareth

    Warm meals and groceries

Food parcels with staples such as oil, rice, pasta, tinned food and fresh goods, plus hot meals delivered to families who cannot afford to eat.

  • Hundreds of shoe boxes collected and ready for distribution to families

Clothing and essentials for children and the elderly

Warm clothing, shoes and basic essentials, gathered and distributed with dignity to children and to the elderly.

  • Members of the congregation sharing tea and fellowship after a service

    Support for single mothers

Practical, ongoing help for mothers raising children alone: food, essentials, school needs and encouragement.

  • The congregation praying together during a winter service in Nazareth

    Winter without heating or shelter

Help for those facing the winter cold with no heating and, for some, no secure shelter at all.

  • Christmas celebration with children and young people of the church

    Christmas presents for children

Gifts, shoes and warm clothing so that children in our community can feel joy and hope during the holiday season.

Food and groceries

Nobody should go to bed hungry

Every distribution begins with a list of families our volunteers know personally: the widow in the next street, the father who lost work, the mother feeding four children on almost nothing.

Bags are packed by hand and delivered quietly, with no paperwork, no queue and no shame. What arrives is practical: oil, rice, pasta, tinned food, bread, and something a little special for the children.

  • Special provisions during Ramadan, Easter and Christmas
  • Regular deliveries for elderly people living alone

Clothing and essentials

Warmth, shoes and dignity

Children outgrow shoes in a season and the cost falls hardest on families who are already stretched. Through the year we collect and distribute clothing, shoes, blankets and household essentials.

Each family chooses for themselves. That matters to us: help should restore dignity, not take it away.

Who we serve

The people on our list

  • Elderly people living alone

Often with a small pension, no family nearby, and a home that is expensive to heat.

  • Single parents

Mostly mothers, raising children without a second income or a second pair of hands.

  • Refugees and displaced families

Families who have arrived with nothing and have no network to fall back on.

  • Children in need

Children who should be worrying about school, not about whether there is dinner.

How we work

Direct, local, accountable

  • Our volunteers live in the community they serve and know each family personally.
  • Help is given directly, with no middlemen and no queues.
  • Records of every distribution are kept and can be shared with supporters on request.
  • If you give for a specific purpose, we will honour it.

If you would like to know exactly how a gift is used, write to us. We are glad to explain, and to share the latest news from the families you have helped.
